Flaxseed Wraps (recipe included)

Updated: Sep 19, 2018

Another quickie foodshare.

Been absolutely on it this morning, and heading back into the kitchen shortly but not before sharing these:

**Recipe:

1 cup flax meal (best when you grind your own)

2/3cup hot water

Pinch of salt

Preparation:

-Add the water to a medium sized pot, heat on medium (not to the boil)

-Grind flax seeds (if need be), add salt

-Dump flax meal into hot water and stir until no longer clumpy and mixture starts to pull away from sides of pot.

-Allow to cool

-Shape into a ball, cut into as many pieces as you fancy (4 large, or 8 medium, 12 small (as per mine)

-Roll into balls, place between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out to 2-3mm thick

-Heat a skillet and cook each side for a couple of minutes, allow to cool and enjoy with your favorite fillings. ;)

**This is the actual recipe based off of the lovely Petra Scott over at Nutrition Refined, (she has amazing videos' so do check her out), which I followed to a tee for the prep of these wraps. I'm super appreciative of the idea and will be adding a few extra ingredients next time, ie more salt, herbs, perhaps chili...? The combo's are endless and you can use whatever you fancy.

For me, this here recipe focuses on the fact that you've got a (Gluten free) wrap. My spread was super tasty and on the salty side, which worked perfectly with the wrap.

Just play, you'll come up with all kinds of goodness.
